A Medical Practice in Northern NJ is hiring a Surgical Authorization Specialist. The following is required:

• Knowledge of retina authorizations for surgery.
• Knowledge of medical insurances, policies, and protocols.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Experience verifying insurance benefits.
• Ability to understand insurance claims (Explanation of Benefits).
• Knowledge of retina/ophthalmology terminology as it pertains to surgical authorizations.
• Experience speaking to insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.
• Able to multi-task and work on multiple tasks at the same time.
• Must be a team player!
• Experience using portals such as Navinet, Availity, UHC Link, Wellcare, and Emblem.
